Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern all orders, sales and services provided by Nordic Shelter Oy (Y-tunnus 2783451-6), Hervannan valtaväylä 12, 33720 Tampere, Finland ("Nordic Shelter", "we", "us").

1. Quotations and Orders

All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. An order is confirmed when the client returns a signed order confirmation and pays the agreed deposit (typically 40% of the order value). Nordic Shelter reserves the right to decline an order at its discretion.

2. Pricing

All prices are quoted in Euros (€) excluding Finnish VAT (24%), unless expressly stated otherwise. For business clients with a valid EU VAT number, reverse charge may apply. Prices are fixed once an order confirmation is signed.

3. Production and Lead Times

Indicative lead times are stated in the quotation. Lead times run from receipt of the confirmed order and deposit payment. Nordic Shelter will notify the client of any significant delay as soon as it becomes apparent. Lead times may be extended for force majeure events beyond Nordic Shelter's control.

4. Payment Terms

• 40% deposit on order confirmation.
• 60% balance due before dispatch or collection.
• Payment by bank transfer to the account stated on the invoice.
• Overdue invoices accrue interest at the Finnish statutory rate (Korkolaki 633/1982).

5. Delivery

Unless otherwise agreed, delivery is Ex Works (EXW) from our Tampere workshop (Incoterms 2020). Risk passes to the client on handover to the carrier. Nordic Shelter can arrange shipping on request; freight costs are invoiced separately. The client must inspect goods on delivery and report any visible damage in writing within 3 business days.

6. Warranty

Nordic Shelter provides a 5-year written warranty on all manufactured products against defects in materials and workmanship. The warranty does not cover:

• Normal wear and tear or fading.
• Damage caused by misuse, improper installation or storage.
• Modifications made by third parties.
• Force majeure events (storms, flooding, etc.).

Warranty claims must be submitted in writing to [email protected] with photographic evidence. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Intellectual Property

All designs, drawings and technical specifications produced by Nordic Shelter remain our intellectual property unless otherwise agreed in writing. The client receives a licence to use designs solely for the purpose of the ordered product.

8. Limitation of Liability

Nordic Shelter's total liability for any claim shall not exceed the value of the relevant order. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or loss-of-profit damages.

9. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by Finnish law. Disputes shall be resolved primarily through negotiation. If no resolution is reached, disputes shall be submitted to the District Court of Tampere (Pirkanmaan käräjäoikeus) as the court of first instance.
